All that is known about "Michael's Song" is that, when Sherri and Chauntelle refused to let Stacy play music with them, she wrote this song herself. "Michael" was a friend of the DuPrees who tried to commit suicide, and the incident so affected then-eight-year-old Stacy that she wrote the song in response. (According to Kim DuPree, Michael is alive and well and serves as youth pastor.)
